Accommodation on Koh Phangan
Besides amazing garden and a beautiful beach, Smile Beach Resort has a lot to entertain holiday making guests.
The place is about 2 1/2 hours from Don Sak and about forty five min. from Island by ferry. You can use the concrete roads to Had Rin, but we have warned you that the concrete roads are not in the best state and only if consider yourself a good motorcycle rider then don't attempt to get to HaadRin, as nearly all accidents involving scooters happen in this area. Our advice is to leave your motorbike at the 7/11 at BanTai and pay about 60 Baht for a pick up over the hills to HadRin. Weather in the Kingdom of Thailandcan be highly equatorial, hot and wet. Most of the time season are designed by monsoons which make three different seasons in northern regions of Siam and two differing seasons in south-central Thailand. The southwest monsoon around May to October is rainy and many clouds, whereas in the north-east monsoon in Nov to March is bone dry and relatively low temperature.
The island is about 2 1/2 hours away from Don Sak and approximately 45 minutes from Koh Samui Island by boat. Mai Pen Rai is not only commonly said on Koh Phangan, Maipenrai is as well the name of a very recommended place on the northern side of Phangan. Like Koh Samui, Koh Pha-ngan is enjoying enormous year on year increase in visitor numbers and it is well know its own right for its monthly notorious Fullmoon Party happening at Haad Rin beach. Due to its big partyscene some people have named Koh Phangan the Ibiza of Asia. Koh Phangan was before a backpackers destination, today a more mixed range of tourists visits the island. One tought most of them have in common, visitors want to find a relaxed and interesting place. One exemption could be the Fullmoon party when Had RinNok transforms to a dancefloor.
